Glutathione is a tripeptide composed of cysteine, glycine and glutamic acid and is found in high levels in most cells within the body. It is involved in a number of processes in the body. However, poor diet, pollution, stress, ageing and medications all contribute to the depletion of glutathione in the body. Glutathione Plus is a combination of Setria® Glutathione, herbal extracts and other supportive nutrients.

Glutathione is known as the master antioxidant due to its ability to recycle other antioxidants including vitamins C and E and it also acts as a cofactor for several antioxidant enzymes.

Oral glutathione is known to have poor bioavailability. Glutathione Plus features Setria® Glutathione which is a reduced glutathione that has been clinically shown to increase blood glutathione levels when taken orally.

Milk thistle is a popular natural herb which provides the active flavonoid silymarin. Silymarin has long been used to support a healthy liver and acts as a powerful antioxidant.

Alpha lipoic acid can regenerate other antioxidants in the body like glutathione, vitamin C, vitamin E and CoQ10.

Also features green tea and selenium which act as antioxidants, protecting the body from oxidative damage.
